A Message from the NSW Branch Chair

Dear Members

It’s March and only one month to go to the National Conference in Hobart.
An exceptional program has been put together for “An Island in a Sea of Change” theme with a great selection of speakers and topics. I recommend that our NSW members participate in the new initiatives in the 2007 Conference such as the ‘Young MEA Future Leaders Forum’, Master Classes and the Business Exchange Program. Y MEA will be up and running in NSW very soon, so spread the word to all under 30’s out there!!!

Congratulations to all the NSW State finalists for the MEA Awards and best of luck for the Awards Night on 8 March. I look forward to seeing you there.

A NSW Branch Committee focus this year is to extend the marketing of MEA NSW with the objective to increase membership growth in NSW. We also want to create opportunities for Inhouse Meeting Planners to participate in MEA educational and social events and encourage them to participate in MEA activities. We are compiling a list of non-MEA members to contact.

Let me know by email david@avantievents.com.au of any companies you are aware of that are involved in our industry as competitors or suppliers but are not MEA members. Another way you can help is to encourage an industry colleague or friend, or both, to go with you to the next PD seminar or networking event.

Thank you for your support.
David Addison AMM
Chair NSW
